HELP US KEEP THE MOONLIT ROAD STORIES COMING!

This free site has been staffed by volunteers since 1997. I pay the monthly operating costs out of my own pocket just to keep it running. So if you really enjoy The Moonlit Road, I could sure use your help!

Please consider making a voluntary donation to The Moonlit Road's operating fund. Any amount helps, no matter how small. There are two safe and easy ways you can donate:

1. The easiest way to donate is through Paypal. Just click on the banner above to go directly to our donation page:

Amazon

2. If you're an Amazon.com customer, you can also donate through them. Just click on the banner above to go to our donation page:

If you have any questions, please read through the FAQ's below, or e-mail me directly at cdominey@themoonlitroad.com.

Thanks for reading this!

Best Wishes,

What are you going to do with my money?

Your donation will go directly into an operating fund to cover monthly expenses like dedicated server hosting, recording studio time, programming expenses, bandwidth charges, etc. With our monthly expenses out of the way, we can concentrate on adding more enhancements to the site.

What is the Amazon Honor System?

The Honor System is a way you can make donations to your favorite websites through Amazon.com.

What is Paypal?

Paypal is the Web's most trusted site for online money transfers. By signing up for a free account, you can send/receive money online to/from anyone by using your credit card or checking account. For example, Paypal has been used for years on eBay as a way for users to pay for auction items.

Which one do you prefer?

Since Amazon.com takes a higher commission per donation, I prefer Paypal. But please use whichever method feels more comfortable to you.

Is it safe to donate money through Paypal?

Absolutely. PayPal uses SSL technology to keep your information safe. And when you send us a payment, we don't receive any sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number. Just the amount you donated and your name - unless you want to be anonymous!

How do I send money to you through Paypal?

Click the link above to go directly to our donation page on Paypal.com and follow the instructions. If you don't currently have an account with Paypal, you'll be prompted to create one. It's free and easy to do. Then you can send money using a credit or debit card, or your checking account. And you can keep using your account for other online transactions, such as buying items on eBay.

Can't you sell ads to cover your expenses?

I've resisted plastering the site with ads because I felt they would ruin the special design and mood of The Moonlit Road. And many of you have thanked me for it. I may feature some form of advertising in the future, but ad revenue on the Web isn't what is used to be. So many sites are turning to donations to help keep the doors open.

Why don't you sell your audio stories to make money?

This is certainly in my future plans, but to set up an e-commerce system to do this also costs money. My immediate overhead costs must be covered first.

What currencies do you accept with PayPal?

Paypal will currently accept Canadian Dollars, Euros, Pounds Sterling, or Yen, as well as U.S. Dollars. Paypal will automatically convert all non-U.S. currencies into dollars for us when you donate.

Where can I learn more about donating through Paypal?

Paypal has an extensive help section that will tell you all you need to know about donating through them.
